Risk is a fact of life in today’s supply chains, which are more complex, volatile, and demand-driven than ever. Companies source, make, and sell shorter lifecycle products “anywhere in the world”, requiring longer, more fragmented supply lines. These trends combined with the current uncertain global economy require S&OP processes to be more responsive to demand-supply volatility and complexity. The MIT-affiliated Demand Management Solutions Research Group, led by Dr. Lawrence ‘Larry’ Lapide, developed strategies to mitigate these risks to improve a company’s competitive position.
In this free webinar, Dr. Lapide, in partnership with John Galt Solutions and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, will discuss how companies can use a careful analysis of their planning variability and risks to navigate today’s turbulent business environment. With this knowledge, your business can improve profitability, speed supply chain responsiveness, and build stronger customer relationships. This session will cover:
- The current state of S&OP and how it has evolved
- How to align your organization to profit from S&OP
- Techniques to use demand sensing and supply sensing to understand potential challenges
- Analysis methods that help mitigate potential supply chain risks
