Apple is cutting back on iPhone4S orders
Asian media reports suggest that, due to weaker demand, Apple is currently cutting back on orders. This will affect component suppliers as well as its main manufacturing partner Foxconn. Chinese-language Commercial Times is also claiming that manufacturing orders for the iPad are also being reduced, by as much as 10-15%.
This could be an indication of some bigger underlying problem that stems from the global economic situation in general. However, Samsung, Motorola as well as Nokia all have introduced new smartphones, making for a lively competition.
